Living in the End Times ~ Part 3

Living in the End Times

Over the past 10+ years, the Holy Spirit has guided me to help all who follow this Apostolate into developing a better understanding of the teachings of our faith, and to help us follow the narrow pathway which leads to eternal salvation.

For we are reminded of our Lord’s words which we find in Matthew’s Gospel, “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few” (Matthew 7:13:14).

And by following this narrow path, we also learn to develop a more loving, holier and more intimate relationship with the God who created us, the God who offered up His life for our salvation in the Person of Jesus Christ, and the God who constantly inspires and blesses us through the indwelling of His Spirit as we continue our journey through life on this side of Heaven.

And in spite of all that I present to you throughout this series on “Living in the End Times, please understand and believe that Christ’s Church will remain until our Lord comes again in all His Glory, as it say’s in Sacred Scripture, “And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18).

There are, however, those elements within the Catholic Church who wish to re-write Church doctrine and, as a sad consequence, mislead God’s children down a path which strays away from the Spirit’s Presence, remembering the words our Lord once spoke, “…they are blind guides [of the blind]. If a blind person leads a blind person, both will fall into a pit” (Matthew 15:14bc). And “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15).

As a result, I continually pray for God’s guidance and protection in being able to provide this information to you, so that you, in turn, may be guided into making the right decision for yourselves and for your loved ones concerning your own spiritual journey and salvation.

Consequently, I recommend that, if possible, save or print this continuing series on “Living in the End Times”, in case there is some point during which I may no longer be able to reach out to you through this Social Media page, although it will prayerfully always be available on https://ev-apostolate.org

Within the Church’s structure, there are many members of the ordained clergy, consecrated religious and lay ministers who remain faithful to the Church’s Magisterium, the official teaching authority of the Church, which has developed to what it is today through almost 2,000 years of a deepening understanding of Sacred Scripture as well as the writings of the early Church Fathers and an embracement of the Sacred Traditions of Christ’s Holy Church – all through the indwelling, inspiration and guidance by the Holy Spirit.

There are, however, radical elements, both right and left (ultra-conservativism and progressive liberalism), who erroneously believe that what they are doing is correct. As a result, there are many of God’s children who are listening to and sadly embracing whatever radical element they feel drawn to and agree with – a theological relativism at its very worst!!!

The Radical Right

On the radical right, there are those who are labeled Sedevacantists. Sedevacantism is the position held by a minority of traditionalist Catholics that, due to what they perceive to be the mainstream church’s espousal of modernism (which they consider to be heresy) that the present occupant of the Holy See, Pope Francis I, is not a legitimately elected pope and that, for lack of a valid pope, the Holy See has been vacant since the death of Pope Pius XII in 1958!

They also recognize neither the canonizations nor the papacies of Pope St. John XXIII, Pope St. Paul VI, Pope St. John Paul II and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, since Sedevacantists consider them invalid or anti-popes.

In addition, they completely reject the Second Vatican Council and its documents, as well as only recognizing the Latin Mass in which the celebrant priest faces east (towards Jerusalem), as it was in pre-Vatican II days.

Tridentine Mass

Note that there is nothing inherently wrong with the Latin Mass which is called the Tridentine Mass, also known as the Traditional Latin Mass. As a matter of fact, it is a beautiful Mass which was offered daily before the Second Vatican Council. The Mass which resulted from the Council is called the Novus Ordo or New Order Mass and is completely licit and proper.

Sadly, there are many who follow the erroneous thinking that the Novus Ordo is illicit; and, once again, the blind are sadly being led by the blind. This brings to mind words which our Lord once spoke when addressing the scribes and Pharisees:

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You lock the kingdom of heaven before human beings. You do not enter yourselves, nor do you allow entrance to those trying to enter. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You traverse sea and land to make one convert, and when that happens you make him a child of Gehenna twice as much as yourselves” (Matthew 23:13-15).

Fortunately, at this time, the radical right and left elements within the Church are only affecting small pockets of Catholic Christians throughout the world. The majority of Catholics are still mainstream in their practice of the faith.

Each day, however, through all the reading and research which I have been personally undertaking, I ultimately find a new cardinal, a new bishop, a new diocese embracing a heretical, relativized thinking which is slowly eroding the faith of what were once faithful Catholics.

And through this erosion, a schism is growing and an anti or counter-church is forming, as was prophesied in 1976 by Cardinal Karol Wojtyła (who would be elected Pope John Paul II two years later), which I presented in Part II of this series.

In my own journey of faith, I, too, have had ups and downs, peaks and valleys which I have personally experienced in my relationship with God, not unlike many of you. But as I look back upon the past years of my life (beginning with the years I was in the seminary studying for the holy priesthood back in the 1960’s through all the various ministries which our Lord entrusted to my care over the past 50+ years), I can see God’s hand guiding me, carrying me to the point at which I have now arrived.

It is as though I see, with all humility, Saint John the Baptist interceding on my behalf, inspiring me to be one of many “…crying out in the desert. Make straight the way of the Lord” (John 1:23).

And I have come to realize that I am only one of many voices throughout the world chosen by the Spirit of God’s Love and Truth, most of them far more important than myself, who have been called to “cry out” in the Most Holy Name of Jesus Christ with our own particular charisms, inviting God’s children to repentance and to develop a holy and intimate relationship with our Lord, for He calls each of us into oneness with Himself.

And it is for this reason that our Lord entrusted this Apostolate to my care so many years ago – all for your sake, so that I may remind each person who follows this ministry to “make straight the way of the Lord” in their own lives. For, in the end, our efforts to remain holy truly pleases our Lord and gives God the glory which is truly His!

******************************************************************

Next Friday, I will begin to cover in detail the great evil which the radical left – the progressive liberal element of the Church – poses for God’s children, for it is a demonic agenda which truly subverts and relativizes God’s Truth by unfaithful wolves wearing sheep’s clothing, and who end up following the will of Satan, not the will of God!

I humbly ask that you please pray that I may be able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit in all that He wishes for you to learn, in all that He wishes for you to know as we enter and live in these “End Times”, for there is truly much that I desire to cover and share with you in this continuing weekly series.

And may I remind you each time to please pray for our Holy Father and all the ordained clergy and consecrated religious – that they may truly recognize God’s will in their own lives and follow His will accordingly.

In the end, let us take to heart always the words of encouragement which our Lord once spoke, “And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20b).

May God bless you, God love you, and may God always keep you.
