Mercy Minutes (from Saint Faustina’s Diary)

May 5 ~ Only One Thing Is Needed

Theme:  Love

“…only one thing is needed to please God: to do even the smallest thing out of great love – love, and always love. Pure love never errs. Its light is strangely plentiful. It will not do anything that might displease God.” (Mercy Minutes/Diary, 140b)

“…if [a soul’s] love is great, Jesus now makes it known that it is time to put into action what it has received. The soul recognizes that God is counting on it, and this knowledge fortifies it. It knows that to be faithful it will often have to face various difficulties, but it trusts in God and, thanks to this trust, it reaches that point to which God is calling it.” (Mercy Minutes/Diary, 145)

    1. Lucas, please know that you and your prayer requests for forgiveness and wisdom are in my daily offerings to our Heavenly Father. If what you are praying for is pleasing to the will of God, may He grant your requests in His time and in His way according to His providential Love for you.

Always remain close to God in personal sanctity, living a virtuous life, and always persevere in your daily prayers.

And remember always the words of St. Padre Pio, “Pray, hope, and don’t worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.”

      Peace and God’s blessings, †
      Ed
